Is Syncthing still syncing?
Tillarr asks Syncthing's health check, which answers without a key, so you know the node is running. A stopped Syncthing shows on Home before your files fall behind.

What you see
- Whether it answers, how quickly, and which address answered
- A tap to open its own web page
What's next
After 1.0: a health card.
Connect Syncthing
What to have ready when you add it in Tillarr.
- Its address. Usually http://your-server:8384. Add a remote address too, and Tillarr uses it when home doesn't answer.
- Nothing else. Watching needs no key and no login, so it's free and can't change anything in Syncthing.
Good to know
- Syncthing's web GUI listens on 127.0.0.1 by default. Set its GUI address to your network or Tailscale address so Tillarr can reach port 8384.
- Syncthing's only API key has full control, which is why watching doesn't ask for it.
Behind a sign-in page
If a sign-in page guards Syncthing, let /rest/noauth/health through so the check can reach it. The remote access guide shows how.
How Tillarr checks Syncthing
Without a key, Tillarr asks for /rest/noauth/health to see that Syncthing is up. Every request goes from your device straight to your server, never through us.
Questions
Why doesn't Tillarr ask for Syncthing's API key?
Syncthing has one key with full control. Watching needs none, and keeps it that way.
Does Tillarr see Syncthing's version?
Not from the health check, which only says OK.
