qBittorrent, from anywhere.
Tillarr joins qBittorrent's torrents with Sonarr's and Radarr's queue, so a download shows once, with what it's for. Speeds update every 2 seconds while you watch.
Pause everything before a video call, turn on slow mode, or add a magnet link from your phone.
What you see
- Torrents in one queue with the arrs: state, progress, speeds, time left, size, category and seeds
- Total speed with a sparkline
- A health card: version, connection (connected, firewalled or disconnected) and speed
What you can do
- Pause and resume one torrent, or all of them
- Remove a torrent with or without its files
- Turn slow mode on or off: qBittorrent's alternative speed limits
- Add a magnet link or a .torrent file, with a category, by pasting, picking or dropping it
- Remove a download and blocklist its release through Sonarr or Radarr
When something goes wrong
- Firewalled needs attention; disconnected is critical
- Errored torrents and missing files are flagged
Connect qBittorrent
What to have ready when you add it in Tillarr.
- Its address. Usually http://your-server:8080. Add a remote address too, and Tillarr uses it when home doesn't answer.
- Its API key or Web UI login. In qBittorrent: Tools → Options → Web UI. This credential has full control of qBittorrent.
Good to know
- qBittorrent 5.2 and later can use an API key. Older versions sign in with the Web UI username and password.
- Five failed sign-ins ban an address for an hour, so Tillarr never retries a rejected password.
- Tillarr sends the credential only to an address that answers as qBittorrent or VueTorrent.
- Reaching it beyond your network? Use qBittorrent 5.3 or later.
Behind a sign-in page
If Authelia, authentik or another sign-in page guards qBittorrent, let /api/v2 through, since Tillarr uses qBittorrent's key rather than your password. The remote access guide shows how.
How Tillarr checks qBittorrent
Without a key, Tillarr asks for / to see that qBittorrent is up. With the key, everything else comes from qBittorrent's own API. Every request goes from your device straight to your server, never through us. Works with qBittorrent 4.6 to 5.3.
Questions
Does Tillarr work with VueTorrent?
Yes. VueTorrent replaces qBittorrent's web page but keeps its API, and Tillarr recognises both.
Does qBittorrent send notifications?
qBittorrent has no webhook. At 1.0, notifications about downloads come from Sonarr and Radarr, which know what each torrent is for.
