Your Proxmox node, on your phone.

FullProxmox VE · VirtualizationManaged in the first beta

Tillarr gives Proxmox VE a native home: your node's CPU, memory and disk, every VM and container with its state, storage filling up, and whether last night's backup worked.

Start, shut down or reboot a guest from your phone. Every action asks first and names the guest.

What you see

  • The node: CPU, memory, root disk, uptime and versions
  • Guests with their state, load and uptime, also in search
  • Storage meters
  • Backups: the last result, each guest's last backup and failed jobs
  • Pending updates and recent tasks

What you can do

  • Start, shut down, reboot or force-stop a VM or container, each after a confirmation that names it
  • Follow each action's progress through Proxmox's own task

When something goes wrong

  • A failed backup is critical
  • Storage running low needs attention
  • At 1.0, with Pro: notifications from Proxmox's webhook target (8.3 and later): failed backups, updates and replication

Connect Proxmox VE

What to have ready when you add it in Tillarr.

  1. Its address. Usually https://your-server:8006. Add a remote address too, and Tillarr uses it when home doesn't answer.
  2. An API token. In Proxmox VE: Datacenter → Permissions → API Tokens → Add. Then give the token the PVEAuditor role under Permissions. A new token can't see anything until you do.

Good to know

  • Use an API token. Give it PVEAuditor to read, VM.PowerMgmt to start and stop guests, and Sys.Modify to see pending updates.
  • A privilege-separated token sees nothing until it has its own permissions. An empty node list means they're missing.
  • Proxmox uses its own certificate, so Tillarr shows the fingerprint once for you to trust.

Behind a sign-in page

If Authelia, authentik or another sign-in page guards Proxmox VE, let /api2 through, since Tillarr uses Proxmox VE's key rather than your password. The remote access guide shows how.

How Tillarr checks Proxmox VE

Without a key, Tillarr asks for / to see that Proxmox VE is up. With the key, everything else comes from Proxmox VE's own API. Every request goes from your device straight to your server, never through us. Works with Proxmox VE 8 and 9.

Questions

Is there a Proxmox app for iPhone?

Proxmox has a mobile web page, not a native app. Tillarr is a native iPhone, iPad and Mac app for Proxmox VE, with guests, storage, backups and power actions.

Can I open a guest's console?

Not in the first beta. A console and installing updates are planned after 1.0.
