Know when an indexer fails.

FullProwlarr · IndexersHealth card in the first beta, lists later

When an indexer goes down, Sonarr and Radarr quietly stop finding releases. Tillarr's Prowlarr card tells you first: how many indexers are enabled, which ones are failing, and Prowlarr's own health warnings.

Prowlarr's card in Tillarr, with example values.

What you see

  • A health card: version, health and indexers, such as "3 enabled" or "1 of 3 failing" with the names

What you can do

Prowlarr's own search and indexer actions come after the first beta.

When something goes wrong

  • A failing indexer needs attention, named on the card
  • Prowlarr's health warnings show as a health error
  • At 1.0, with Pro: a notification when Prowlarr reports a health problem, which is how failing indexers arrive

Connect Prowlarr

What to have ready when you add it in Tillarr.

  1. Its address. Usually http://your-server:9696. Add a remote address too, and Tillarr uses it when home doesn't answer.
  2. Its API key. In Prowlarr: Settings → General → Security → API Key. This key has full control of Prowlarr.

Good to know

  • Prowlarr 2 removed the web UI's basic login; the API key still works.
  • Searching Prowlarr directly is slow and uses indexer quota. Tillarr's searches go through Sonarr and Radarr.

Behind a sign-in page

If Authelia, authentik or another sign-in page guards Prowlarr, let /api and /ping through, since Tillarr uses Prowlarr's key rather than your password. The remote access guide shows how.

How Tillarr checks Prowlarr

Without a key, Tillarr asks for /login to see that Prowlarr is up. With the key, everything else comes from Prowlarr's own API. Every request goes from your device straight to your server, never through us. Works with Prowlarr 1 and 2 (API v1).

Questions

Why does Prowlarr show as Full but only have a card?

Full is the depth Prowlarr reaches. The first beta starts with its health card, which covers what matters most: failing indexers. Lists and actions follow.

Does Tillarr search through Prowlarr?

Not in the first beta. Searches go through Sonarr and Radarr, which use the indexers Prowlarr syncs to them, so results come with each arr's own rules.
