Navidrome, still streaming?
Tillarr asks Navidrome's Subsonic ping, which answers with no login and tells Tillarr which version you run. If your music server stops answering, it shows on Home.
What you see
- Whether it answers, how quickly, and which address answered
- Its version, read without a key
- A tap to open its own web page
What's next
After 1.0: a light integration, planned with the other media servers.
Connect Navidrome
What to have ready when you add it in Tillarr.
- Its address. Usually http://your-server:4533. Add a remote address too, and Tillarr uses it when home doesn't answer.
- Nothing else. Watching needs no key and no login, so it's free and can't change anything in Navidrome.
Good to know
- The ping carries no Subsonic username or password; Navidrome answers it either way.
- Navidrome's default port is 4533. Behind a reverse proxy, use the proxy's address and path instead.
Behind a sign-in page
If a sign-in page guards Navidrome, let /rest/ping.view through so the check can reach it. The remote access guide shows how.
How Tillarr checks Navidrome
Without a key, Tillarr asks for /rest/ping.view?f=json to see that Navidrome is up, and reads its version from the answer. Every request goes from your device straight to your server, never through us.
Questions
Does Tillarr play music from Navidrome?
No. Any Subsonic app plays it; Tillarr watches the server.
Does it work with other Subsonic servers?
Tillarr checks that the answer comes from Navidrome. Another server can be added as any web app.
