Gitea or Forgejo, kept in sight.
Gitea and Forgejo share an API, so one check covers both. Tillarr reads the version from it and shows your forge next to the rest of your stack.

What you see
- Whether it answers, how quickly, and which address answered
- Its version, read without a key
- A tap to open its own web page
Connect Gitea / Forgejo
What to have ready when you add it in Tillarr.
- Its address. Usually http://your-server:3000. Add a remote address too, and Tillarr uses it when home doesn't answer.
- Nothing else. Watching needs no key and no login, so it's free and can't change anything in Gitea / Forgejo.
Good to know
- Forgejo reports its version with the Gitea release it tracks, such as 7.0.0+gitea-1.22.0. Tillarr shows it as given.
- Gitea, Grafana and Jellystat all default to port 3000, so check which one answers there.
Behind a sign-in page
If a sign-in page guards Gitea / Forgejo, let /api/v1/version through so the check can reach it. The remote access guide shows how.
How Tillarr checks Gitea / Forgejo
Without a key, Tillarr asks for /api/v1/version to see that Gitea / Forgejo is up, and reads its version from the answer. Every request goes from your device straight to your server, never through us.
